Leaves are special to me. Here's why. Almost 9 years ago when I still lived in California, Michel (my boyfriend) sent me a picture of an Autumn leaf from Montréal on which he had inscribed a poem he had written. He sent this to me before we had met in person and only knew each other through our correspondence and chatting on the Internet and by phone. Every year when the leaves start falling here in Québec, I think back to that emailed leaf and what has transpired since I was touched by Michel's gentle and romantic gift.
Here is that most memorable leaf.

Thanks for the mention and link to "The Doodle Daily" on your blog. I never imagined when I put pen to leaf that I would touch someone at the same time. Hope you had a chance to check out the rest of my site. I try to shake things up every now and then, but I know I love to draw and love the art of doodling. It's very expressive. I too, have a greeting card site, where I incorporate doodle art along with a range of Vintage inspired stationery called "Tjomies Vintage Stationery"
